Studying up on social media marketing

This week I’m taking some time to dive in deeper to social media marketing.  Sure I’ve used facebook, twitter, and youtube for a while now, but until recently I didn’t stop to think about how businesses should be using these platforms.

My take is that integration is everything.  You have to create one seamless platform that draws people in from all the different networks, and lets them participate on your site or on the social network without distinction.

I just learned about disqus, and I think this might be a great tool for letting people comment on social networks, but then integrating that content into a central website.  I’ll let you know what I figure out.
